Just a bunch of pictures

We haven't really been doing much exciting but we have lots of pictures. The nanny takes Cason all over the place and send me tons of pictures.

He really likes bubbles.

He pretty much only goes down head first.

He loves cars, trains, and boats. Boats are called boat boat, everything else is a car. Most cars or trains make the "choo choo" noise.

We went to Plano for my nephews birthday and then Thanksgiving. He loved the bounce house and wasn't afraid to be in there with all the big kids. At Thanksgiving the kids had fun playing in all the leaves.

And some more random pictures. We went to Bass Pro. He didn't understand why he couldn't go in the "pool".

He loves cell phones. I let him use my old iPhone because he disables mine and deletes apps.

It's a good day when you pull up next to a bus!

He is even spoiled by the nanny. She bought this bus for him over Thanksgiving. He didn't let it go for about 2 days.

This is so cute. They were watching cartoons in the morning.

Last...I asked if I could take his picture and this is the face I got. Not sure what this is about.

Picky Eater

When Cason first started eating food he would eat anything. Any baby food and then almost any real food. He loved Mac n cheese and I could add veggies and he still gobbled it up. Then around 15 months it all went downhill. I know it's totally normal and not specific to Cason, but it is frustrating when the only food he might attempt to eat at a meal is Cheetos. He loves chips so we have to hide any bags or he will refuse to eat anything else.

He has started to eat more stuff lately and luckily he usually likes fruit so at least he gets something healthy. But we still struggle. I keep offering and he keeps throwing it at me. :)

Until I officially quit my job, we have a lady named Cheryl watching Cason and it seems to be working out great! He doesn't eat very well for her either...big she tries too!  She sent me this series of pictures yesterday. I think it sums up his feelings pretty well.

The last one cracked me up! He is such a stinker. One last picture because he is so cute and looks like such a big boy.

18 months old and a few changes

A little late but Cason is 18 months old! He is full of energy, can be incredibly sweet, and can be just as mischievous.  He is in to everything and says Mama about a million times a day. He has started to shorten it and just say Ma now.  When Terry is gone he asks about him constantly.

He is still biting and now I think he is just doing it to be defiant. Sometimes he thinks he's being funny. He knows he isn't supposed to do it but he doesn't care. When he bites (or something else he knows is wrong) he does it and then shakes his head at you. Or sometimes he puts his little arms up and says "I don't know". It is so hard not to laugh. He cracks us up all the time!

He was doing this like tying a tie. Not sure why...nobody around here wears ties.

He loves to dance. If he hears music he stops what he is doing and dances. Even if he's sitting down he can still get his groove on.

He is dancing in both pictures. First move is arms up. He tries to snap, claps and stomps his feet. He really gets in to it!

He has started coloring...everything. So far just the floors and one time our sheets. I guess I shouldn't have let him color on the bed. He climbs on the chair and says color.

He can say car, tree, shoe, ball and several others but his favorite is pool.  He really extends the "o". Any water is a pool. I tried to take him to the playground in our neighborhood and finally gave up after this is where he kept running to.

Now for the changes. I quit my job! I will still be working for a little bit, but officially I have put my notice in.  A lady in our neighborhood is going to watch Cason for a little bit so no more daycare until I'm actually done. I'm pretty excited!

A few more pictures of our crazy guy. If you ask him to walk like a turkey you get this. He puts his hands back and bends over.

He loves Cooper. He usually tries to climb on him and puts his face in Coopers face so Cooper will lick him. So gross! Here is Cooper out of Cason's range.
He loves trying to play Terry's guitars. My parents were in town getting this for my dad. Cason was loving it.
First time eating popcorn. He was a fan!
Driving so Dad can read his text messages.  You can see but the wipers were going crazy and the blinkers were on. He was very serious about his job.

Puddles

We had random rain showers the past two days and today Cason had his first chance to splash in some puddles. He loves water. He is always splashing in Cooper's dog bowl, the sink, etc.

It started raining and Terry took Cason outside and they played. Cason was definitely a fan.

Just before the rain Grandma D and Uncle B left after being here for the weekend. Just a few pictures.

Grandma D has all these talking animal apps that Cason loves. Here they are looking at them.

Cason and Brian watching some Sunday morning cartoons. Cason was being extra sweet.

July 4th and Cousins

Grandma D and Uncle B came for a visit over the 4th. Cason got spoiled and Terry and I got to go out while Grandma D babysat. It was so nice! I'm always sad when all my Cason helpers leave. We grilled some tasty burgers and watched fireworks on our balcony.  Luckily our neighbors who usually continue the fireworks all night either moved or went somewhere else.  Cooper is the calmest dog but can't handle fireworks. So much nicer this year!

Terry bought Cason a pool for the backyard. He is kind of over it now but we had a few fits when it was time to come inside.
Cason also loves the hose. The night before we spent a certain amount of time hanging out on the back porch while he drenched himself.

Our neighborhood had a pool party and we actually went. I think it might be the first time ever. It actually wasn't bad. Cason and Terry enjoyed the kiddie pool. If you look close you can see Terry's 3 shades of tan. I really like the 2nd shade from his cut shirts. ;) I will probably be in trouble for that!

In between the 4th and meeting up with cousins a few random shots of our cute guy. There is a trend to most of the shots. Cason's belly...he is pretty proud if it and pats it all the time. Cracks me up!

Terry was watching his show and Cason watching some Elmo on the phone. It was a compromise for a tired kid. He loves Elmo. If he really wants to watch he will push you out of the way. He also loves the book in front of him. He will turn every page back and forth forever. It has sound but I don't think he really cares.

Terry was into the Duck Commander before it was cool. He was about 15-20 or so years early on that one and watched it on his VCR. I tried to watch it then and i can tell you it is much more entertaining now. He still has his duck calls and pulled it out for Cason. Terry would do his call and tried to show Cason how to blow in it to make noise. Cason put his mouth to it and went "hmmm hmmm hmmm". Close enough.

Finally my brother, Angie and the kids went to San Antonio with Angie's family and made a stop in Austin so we met them for dinner. There was a splash pad in front if the restaurant so the kids were entertained.

Brooklyn splashing Cason and random lady and/or her kid in all my shots.
One of the few without a bunch of random kids.
Connor was loving this move.
